Umiam Lake

Our next-door neighbour, the state of Meghalaya, has
several scenic spots. Umiam Lake pictured below is
one such destination. Also known as Barapani, it was
created when a hydro-electric project was constucted
on the Umiam river. It's an angler's paradise and offers
boating and kayaking facilities. The hills, the shimmer-
ing waters of the lake and the pine make it all look so
beautiful.

My son Nishant (with cap) and nephew Joysho pose against
the Umiam backdrop.

That's right...it's a real surprise when you see them after months, isn't it?!

I've been posting more on my other blog but you becoming a 'follower' has changed all that! Now Yaoglai will have new posts. It's great to 'see' you here.

Raja's got his Unit tests going on now. Rest is fine. You must be busy too with...you call them...assignments/projects?! Happy holidays to you too! Now I'm off to your blog.

I love....

  • Dew on the bamboo, yellow flowers and orange sunsets, the sound of rain...the whistle of the wind, the rush of flowing water, the smell of woodsmoke, the crackle of a wood fire, the moon in all its phases.......
