Rural Scenes

A winter sunset

Boats on the Kolong river. In the distance you can see
the crowds at the weekly market.

The rippled reflection of a setting winter sun.

Very nice pics. You've captured the sun beautifully. Looking at your sidebar where you say " I love dew on the bamboo, yellow flowers...." I love all those things too!

Kanak such beautiful landscape. What a lovely pooch with such gentle eyes. The houses are gorgeous I am also a house watcher hoping to see my dream house. If ever I were to visit India I think your province will be my first stop, such beauty!! Keep posting I will be back. Where you live what proximity is it from Nepal or the Kasmir border?

Hi Helen, so happy to see you here. And thank you, I loved reading your comment!

The pooch and the houses were photographed in another city 103kms away. You'll be very welcome here. If you'd like to see more pics you can check out the link on the Terra Farmer side bar. It's www.rawtourism.com

This part of India isn't the face that is projected internationally. There are many communities here all with our own languages and dialects, beliefs and culture. As for the landscape, it's a verdant green!

Kashmir is far away. We are on the extreme east, and close to Myanmar. The Nepal border is about 550kms away.

I'm so glad you stopped by. I'm so glad to be able to show my part of our diverse country to the world. And if ever you come here, I'll be more than happy to show you around.

Have a wonderful week!

I love....

  • Dew on the bamboo, yellow flowers and orange sunsets, the sound of rain...the whistle of the wind, the rush of flowing water, the smell of woodsmoke, the crackle of a wood fire, the moon in all its phases.......
